I'm a big fan of Emily Giffin. Her books always offer an escape from the everyday stresses and business of life. So after hearing she had a new release receiving excellent reviews, I had to put it on my TBR pile. Meant To Be was so enjoyable to read, especially if you are interested in the Kennedy lifestyle. It somewhat mirrors JFK jr and his wife Carolyn Biset so that you can easily visualize the setting, romance, and everything else!
This book is a love story between Joe Kinsley, a handsome young bachelor from a famous, wealthy family, and beautiful Cate Cooper, a young independent woman of lesser means. The difference in their social-economic backgrounds creates tension and pressure as they try to build a relationship. I became wholly immersed in this story, and I loved the characters. It was a delightful read and would make a fun discussion for Book Club.
