The reviews on this book are wonderful, so even though this author is new to me, I was too curious to not give it a try. I'm glad I did, I enjoyed it from cover to cover. It's a simple premise, and one many can relate to, a young woman is struggling to gain the approval and affection of her mother in law, Diana.
It's a twisty plot, and the suspense starts to build when Diana unexpectedly dies. I wanted to keep reading to discover the truth. Was Diana's death a suicide, or was it murder? There are family secrets and past hurts, so murder is a definite possibility. But other circumstances point to suicide. The author also does an excellent job with pacing. The chapters are short, which somehow keeps you reading. Highly recommend.
