Half Of A Yellow Sun

As the winner of the Orange Broadband Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award Finalist, HALF OF A YELLOW SUN is a moving story of love, family, friendship and survival. Based on the Biafran war of the 1960s it touches on many issues facing the citizens in this war-torn country. At times heartbreaking, graphic and mesmerizing you will be transported into the lives of five different characters and treated to a story you will not want to end. Adichie draws you in and shows you the strength of the human spirit with all its flaws and the bonds that grow from adversity. Beautifully written with many layers, you will be fascinated by the African Culture and how the war ravaged this land and its people. I had heard many positive things about this book and clearly it is one of the best books I have read this year. Dont miss this one and suggest it to your Book Club.Back.
