Saving CeeCee Honeycutt

With an abundance of Southern Charm and a colorful cast of characters, Beth Hoffman gives a delightful read about the struggles of a 12-year-old girl named Ceecee Honeycutt. Abandoned by her traveling salesman father, she is left to care for her mentally ill mother. What follows is a fascinating story of how a group of women comes together to nurture a child who is lost and alone. As the story unfolds the reader is treated to an incredible journey of love, family and friendship. With humor and sadness Hoffman reminds us how important the little things in life are. Although it’s sometimes a bit cliche “Saving Ceecee Honeycutt” is a very enjoyable book which will warm your heart. An excellent debut novel, I look forward to her next.Back.
