The Forgotten Garden

This intriguing story takes place in the early 1900ís and tells the story of a 4-year-old girl who is left on a dock in Australia. She comes alone from England on an ocean liner, and no one knows what her name is or how she arrived on the ship. Here begins the fascinating story of Nell and her search to find out who she is. As the story unfolds three people of three different generations tell the long kept secret. Morton, the author, gives the reader bits and pieces throughout the story giving hints of Nellís real identity. Guessing this mystery was great fun and kept my interest the entire book. This story is a moving family saga, filled with wonderful characters, love, excitement and despair. Overall itís a very well written book with many layers that would make an excellent book club choice. A great read.Back.
