Breaking The Silence

This is my first time reading anything by this author and I have to say, “nicely done Diane Chamberlain”. It’s a light read and overall quite predictable, but with wonderfully deep and real characters and a nice mix of mystery and suspense. As the drama unfolds and the emotional pull builds, it’s easy to forget the characters are fictional. I like the many plot twists and layers of intrigue she creates and the refreshing look at honest relationships and choices we make. To spice things up, Chamberlain deals with some sensitive topics, such as Alzheimer’s disease and selective mutuism. All this combines and flows together to draw you in and engage you emotionally. This is one of Diane’s earlier works and I look forward to reading more of her work. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy a good story.Back.
