Then Came You

Then Came You, by Jennifer Weiner, is a simple yet intricate story that owes all of its warmth to the depth of its characters. The four women who this novel centers around are unforgettable. All at different intersections in life, they find common ground in their attempts to find themselves. At one point I wondered to myself when the climax of the story would come. But really, it is not that type of novel. A story of growth, love, and family, the four intersecting lives of Bettina, India, Annie, and Jules will leave you feeling like you experienced a moment of glowing self understanding as Weiner's characters did as well. A delightful read that forces us to question society's constantly changing definition of family.Back.
