The Opposite of Me

Opposite Of Me, by Sarah Pekkanen was an enjoyable light read, perfect for summer. Her characters were real with relatable aspirations and downfalls. The relationship between Alex and Lindsay was uplifting. Pekkanen perfectly grasped the silent rivalry between sisters. It was inspiring to watch as both sisters held onto each other for support as they overcame different hurdles in life. I enjoyed watching Lindsay grow after seemingly losing everything. At times Pekkanen's humor seemed forced to me, but overall kept me smiling throughout. Her witty remarks combined with her smart commentary on family and growing up proved an entertaining combination. Pekkanen reminds readers that it is never too late for a fresh start, but most of all, to never give up.Back.
