The Lying Game
Reviewed by- Linda (2017/08/08, 11:30 PM)
Lying has consequences. If you have any doubts, this is a must read book. Although the story is told from Isas point of view, its about four friends who meet at boarding school, get on with their lives and then meet again years later. The interaction between these friends is the heart of the story; it is a character driven story, with subtle suspense. So, if you are looking for an edge of your seat thriller, this is not the book for you. Having said that, the book is good. The author surrounds you with female friendships, family dynamics and the disadvantages of small town living. There are some edgy parts, but for the most, this is a peek into the lives of friends who made a pact when they were young and carefree, that came back to haunt them.
