B<\/span>ooks with strong women<\/strong> as main characters will always have a special place in my life. I find them insanely readable and since they inspire and motivate, excellent for your emotional and spiritual health.<\/p>\n

They are also the perfect pick-me-up books in case your self-esteem is a bit low.\u00a0\u00a0 Aside from this, if you think about it, there\u2019s no denying that sharing is quintessentially good \u2013 so if reading it yourself is not enough, have a read-together with your daughter or another young woman in your life.<\/p>\n

I try to notice reading trends, and I couldn\u2019t be happier to see strong female characters in young adult and girls books on the rise.<\/p>\n

I love that the females in books now have more substance and are no longer playing only damsels in distress and princesses.<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n

Who can argue with the logic of emphasizing strength, and planting seeds of independence? I know you\u2019ve heard this before, but it bears repeating \u2013 because at the end of the day – there is no prince on a white horse coming to save the females of the world. Sorry, Mr. Disney.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Books with strong women<\/span> don\u2019t necessarily have to be a staple in your daily reading \u2013 but every woman should seek out at least a few.<\/em><\/h2>\n

Summer is fast approaching and chances are you\u2019re going to need some reading material, which makes now a perfect time to add a few books, this way no matter where you end up \u2013 the beach, poolside, some exotic destination or home in your favorite chair – you\u2019ll be all set.<\/p>\n

That said \u2013 if you’re perusing your bookshelves and decide your home library needs a revamp, browse through the suggestions in this post and maybe bust out of your reading bubble.<\/p>\n

Today it\u2019s all about powerful, independent women. The stories are varied, but the women all\u00a0share one common trait- determination. They think for themselves and stand up for what they believe in.<\/p>\n

And it doesn\u2019t matter if you are looking to get back into reading this type of book or starting fresh \u2013 there is something for everybody. I promise some of the books will have you brimming with emotions and tears others will motivate you to conquer your world.<\/p>\n
