However you pick your books, what\u2019s important is that occasionally you read something inspiring or out of your comfort zone. Book clubs do this all the time; it\u2019s part of why they&#8217;re\u00a0so popular. Not only does variety\u00a0keep boredom from setting in, but you may stumble upon something that shakes up or changes your perspective;\u00a0and when this happens,\u00a0it feels good.<\/h3>\n<h3>By now you\u2019ve probably noticed that I do this a lot. And I\u2019m not claiming that my lists are perfect \u2013 but the good news is they\u2019re well researched and varied. Below you will find books that will provoke you\u00a0&#8211; stirring\u00a0up\u00a0your feelings and mixing up your emotions. Some will make you angry, and some\u00a0are pure inspiration. She looks at the way we raise and treat girls, contrasting it to how we raise and treat boys. She deals with the negative connotation associated with the word feminist. She talks about the gender divide. This short essay &#8211; the book is about 65 pages \u2013 will allow you to see a better more equal world.<\/h3>\n<h2><em><strong>The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yoko Ogawa<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"intro\"><strong>Why It&#8217;s Special:<\/strong> This is a story about a Professor with a memory span of 80 minutes and the Housekeeper who helps him.
