Living at the Jersey Shore, we call September and October our local summer. It’s a beautiful little window where the weather is still warm, so you can still enjoy the beach, but the crowds are gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s the perfect time to grab a book, and your beach chair and head to the ocean to enjoy some much-needed reading. The sand is cooler under your feet, it’s more peaceful, and you can hear the waves crashing on the shoreline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes I grab takeout for my family, and we’ll all meet and have dinner. I love it when it’s just chilly enough where you need a sweatshirt. There’s something magical about it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although I’ve never done it, I have seen Book Clubs <\/a>get pizza delivery to the beach. I’m always so envious as they form a circle in the sand and discuss their monthly book selection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I’m happy the bustle of summer is gone and everything is a bit more relaxed. Now I look forward to returning to a routine and adding to my TBR list<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
