This is a fast paced and a very satisfying mystery. But even more, it a fun read because Jake, the star of the novel is contrary, sharp, and always sharing his witty sarcastic observations. He also doesn’t always play by the rules and has a strong desire to do the right thing, which sounds like a contradiction, but totally works for him and the storyline. As the jacket says, he’s a linebacker turned lawyer, so brace your self for some great courtroom drama. Although this is part of a series, it does just fine as a stand-alone and will have you searching out other work by this author.Back.
