Book Review by - Linda
I love when a book is atmospheric and so full of rich details, you feel immersed in a time period. Reading about New York City no matter the century is also a favorite past time. So, no surprise that I immensely enjoyed THE ADDRESS.Fiona Davis creates an amazing sense of time and place and takes you deep inside the Dakota Apartment building in NYC, treating the reader to an enormous array of fascinating details about this landmark building. Such as the fact that each apartment is shaped differently and the enormity of accomplishing this. This building is the link between two women who lived one hundred years apart. Although I enjoyed both the current and historical portions of this book, I have to say that the historical story edged out the current day story, but only by a bit, both are engaging. This story is a wonderful mix of past and present with real characters and believable life events.Back. | ||
