Alchemy of Secrets pulls you in right from the start. The main character, Holland, is very relatable and emotionally resonant as she struggles to decide whom to trust and what is real and what is an illusion. But she remains strong and determined throughout. The story mixes mystery, magic, and emotion in a way that feels intimate. And it's filled with Hollywood glamour and folklore; I loved the glamour and was totally intrigued by the folklore. The author also shows the dangers of power and what it can do to people. If you like character-driven stories with heart, this one's a great pick. |
