When things start to unfold in this story, the intensity builds quickly, and it's hard to stop reading. It's told from two perspectives; Max gives us the police procedural side of things and Boady shows us the legal side.
What a great combination; it keeps you guessing, making it hard to figure out who murdered the woman. I loved that Max and Boady were flawed, struggling with personal issues. I also loved the moral issue explored in this story; "Let justice be done though the heavens may fall." It comes from Latin and means justice must be done regardless of the consequences. Recommend.
