I picked up this book because the premise was fascinating: a woman starts predicting the age and manner of death for each fellow passenger on a flight.
I love this author and have read several of her books. So far,
The Husband's Secret is my favorite, but I also liked
 What Alice Forgot and
Big Little Lies (among others). I was lucky enough to attend a book signing event for this book - Liane is personable, and I left even more excited to start reading this latest story.
Here One Moment was intriguing and thought-provoking, with my favorite part being how each character faces their morality. Anytime you are dealing with the fear of death, it evokes some fascinating questions about your day-to-day existence and the shadow a trauma like this can cast on your life. Liane did a fabulous job immersing you in each person's world; some were afraid, some defiant, and others determined to overcome their fate.
Overall, I enjoyed this book, but I did lose focus a few times. I think because there were a lot of characters and the book was a little long - over 500 pages. But, there are also parts you can't stop thinking about- like when one of the predictions comes true or a mother's
anguish dealing with her child's "predicted" fate.
Of course Liane Moriarty's fans will love this one. And With it's unique content and complex characters it will make a good book club book too. Additionally, it's for anyone who loves slow burn, immersive stories with great character dvelopment.
