Jojo Moyes is one of my favorite authors, and I often turn to her when I want a good book. I was looking for a light read to listen to on audio, and The Horse Dance made an excellent choice.
It was easy to follow, and the narration was excellent. As a teenager, my whole life revolved around horses. Naturally, the story caught my eye when I saw it was about a young girl Sarah and her love for her horse.
Moyes perfectly captures the connection between the two and skillfully creates complex, relatable, and flawed characters, making them easy to invest in.
Although this was not my favorite Moyes book, it was enjoyable. At times it was a little slow, but overall a good book. It touches upon many relationship issues making it an excellent book for discussion.
