Mamme

by Jessica George
This is an excellent book about family, love, and finding your inner strength. I listened to this book on audio, and the narration was excellent. There was a lot of positive buzz surrounding this book. I'm happy it lived up to the hype. It would make an excellent book club choice.

Book Review

(by- Andrea )

I thoroughly enjoyed this heartwarming coming of age story! I listened to this book on audio, and the narration was excellent. There was a lot of positive buzz surrounding this book. I'm happy it lived up to the hype.

The protagonist is 25 year old Maddie, who lives at home in her parent's house and cares for her father, who has Parkinson's. Her mother lives in Ghana, running a family business, and her brother relies on Maddie to do the lion's share of the work.

It's easy to fall in love with Maddie as we watch her struggle to meet her family obligations while trying to build her own life. It's difficult, and her journey is complicated as she navigates dating, living independently, and her career.

This book is about family, love, and finding your inner strength. It would make an excellent book club choice.
