PBR Review: (by- Linda )
I enjoyed this book. It really captures the pain and difficulty of being a refugee. You are content with life, running a successful business, and enjoying your family. But, then, you must leave it all behind because your country is at war. The author highlights the conflicts and inner struggles of deciding to leave your home and start over. Her clear, straightforward writing style also allows the loss and trauma suffered by Nuri and his wife to resonate. Along with finding a new home, their journey is also one of healing and finding each other again after dealing with devastating events. War never fails to bring out the best and the worst in people..
