A famous white actress named Kitty Carr passes away and leaves her estate to three Black women - who happen to be daughters of famous celebrities. The story takes us on a journey from 2017, after Kitty's death, all the way back to the mid-1900s, where we follow the coming-of-age of a young Black girl named Mary. About The Author


Smith Paul attended Spelman College and UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television and received her master's in journalism from NYU. Her nonfiction writing has appeared in Salon, Jezebel, and HuffPost. She currently works in digital marketing for wellness and beauty brands. Did You Hear About Kitty Karr? is her first novel.
