Family Family

by Laurie Frankel

Review

(by- Andrea )

Family Family is entertaining, thought-provoking, funny, and insightful. This heart-warming story confirms several ways to create a loving family, and adoption is one of them.

India Alwood is a television star who gave up her daughter for adoption in high school. A decision she stands by but is not known by the public. But now, her current movie is about adoption, but not the version India believes is accurate. So, she publicly states it's a bad movie. The studio is up in arms, and consequences ensue.

What's interesting about this novel is that Frankel is an adoptive parent, and she sends a strong message that just because everyone is not blood-related doesn't make a family less than or a second choice. This original, clever book with a loveable character cast would make a great Book Club selection. It will touch your heart, and you'll be glad you read it.
