Nothing is as it seems in this thoroughly entertaining psychological thriller. It's full of suspense, deception, and unexpected twists. It's also fast-paced and pulls you in from the start.
One of the best parts of this story is the character development. Especially Evie, the protagonist. She's multi-dimensional and, on the surface, has it all: a great boyfriend, a beautiful home, and affluent friends. However, as she tries to untangle her complex present, built on lies and deception, she is constantly worrying about the threat of exposure as her questionable past is quickly catching up with her. All this makes her a compelling character to follow and one you love to root for.
Of course, there is a psychological toll for living a lie. The author masterfully explores this deceit, creating a page-turning story that will leave you questioning everything and craving the truth.
