Set in the affluent neighborhood of Greenwich, London, this suspenseful thriller takes you on a journey through the seemingly idyllic lives of a group of friends in Greenwich, London; Helen, her husband, and two other couples.
Helen, who is pregnant, meets Rachel, also pregnant, at a pre-natal class, and they immediately bond, begin meeting for lunch, and a friendship develops. But soon Helen begins to feel Rachael has dark secrets and may not be who she says she is.
As Helen delves deeper, searching for answers, the story turns dark; she makes shocking discoveries, and her charmed existence begins to fall apart.
I loved how complex and flawed the characters were. Their intricate backstories and hidden motives add depth to the story as their lives intertwine in unexpected ways. I also loved the story's perfect blend of suspense, mystery, and psychological intrigue.
Although the story starts slow, it soon picks up, and with its shocking twists, it's a must-read for fans of suspenseful and intricately plotted thrillers.
