Book Review

(by- Linda )

Happy Wife is the kind of book that pulls you in right from the start. This domestic suspense story uncovers the dark side of life in a wealthy Florida town. Nora is 28 years old, working two jobs, one at the country club in the elite city of Winter Park, Florida, where she meets and falls in love with Will, a 45-year-old lawyer. When Will goes missing, you can feel the anxiety and suspicion directed at her- after all, she is not really one of them.

It's a real page-turner filled with secrets and twists that keep you guessing. The book does a great job of exploring appearances, the hidden downsides of wealth, and what people will do to protect their carefully built lives.

The authors also create a fabulous cast of characters - you'll never grow tired of reading about them, and you'll likely find yourself thinking about them and their complicated relationships long after you've finished. My only minor complaint is that some parts of the investigation did not ring true and felt forced.

However, this is a rewarding read and a standout Debut for anyone who enjoys a good psychological mystery mixed with social drama.
