In Home Fire, the author gives us a story of contrasts. She pits good against evil and shows us differing viewpoints of loyalty, love, and bigotry. The plot is involved, delving into women's issues for the Muslim female, and the innocence of youth and the errors in judgment they make.
Through the varied characters, the author introduces us to ISIS recruitment and training, and differing views of the Islam religion. The topic is very much on point with today's terrorist environment and provides valuable insight to understanding this enormous issue.
