I usually become pretty invested in domestic thrillers. So, it's no surprise that I liked this one. This book's primary focus is Jake's disappearance, and the author plants enough breadcrumbs to keep you curious. As you read, you wonder if Jake is missing or if has he maybe started a new life, san wife, somewhere else. But, of course, he could also be dead; after all, he and his wife did argue the morning of her disappearance. Some of the other characters' behavior is questionable too, which complicates things. I'm sure you can see where this is going.
The twists are good, one I don't think you will see coming, and it's a book that will provide an afternoon or two of excellent entertainment and distraction.
