Book Review

(by- Andrea )

I couldn't stop listening to THE LIGHT WE LOST on audio. I found myself looking for excuses to take the dog for a walk so that I could listen to one more chapter. This book is Jill Santopolo first adult novel, but she's written several YA books. The story follows the decade-long relationship of Lucy and Gabe. It's an emotional read that may bring you to tears. Lucy's voice is mesmerizing and listening to her brought me back to my more passionate youth.

I was thinking about the road not taken and redoing my bucket list. I especially liked the reference to the E.E. Cummins poem I LIKE MY BODY WHEN IT IS WITH YOUR. I had to google it! The Characters are well developed, and I become invested in their future. I was so sad when the book was over. I wasn't quite ready to let them go. This is a beautifully written love story I don't think you'll be able to put down. It's a fantastic summer read and would make an excellent Book Club choice
