Yes, I loved this book because I live in NYC - but no, you will still love it if you don't. Here is a story about two models, Lillian, who modeled for sculptures in 1919, and Veronica, a 1966 photoshoot model.
The setting is the beautiful Frick Mansion on Fifth Avenue, NY, now known as the Frick Collection. Because I always pass them, I could visualize many of the fountains, buildings, and statues the author describes in this story.
Fiona Davis weaves these two storylines together perfectly, creating a captivating book with a hint of mystery and family drama. I also loved learning about the Frick family and their art collection. My takeaway? I can't wait to revisit the Frick Collection; it will have new meaning. Recommend
