Book Review

(by- Linda )

"The Night Swim" is a thought-provoking mystery that delves deep into the themes of sexual assault and injustice. It's engaging from start to finish, and the way Megan Goldin weaves together multiple narratives and a suspenseful courtroom drama is truly captivating.

The novel follows Rachel Krall, a popular true crime podcaster, as she travels to a small coastal town to cover the trial of a famous swimmer accused of raping a young girl. However, when Rachel starts receiving anonymous letters detailing a cold case, she is intrigued and investigates both crimes simultaneously.

One of the most critical aspects of this story is the exploration of the long-lasting effects of sexual assault on survivors. Goldin handles this sensitive subject with care, giving voice to the victims and shedding light on their difficulties in seeking justice.
