Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
I'm happy to say I loved this book, and it was so much more than I anticipated. Also, a movie starring Ryan Gosling is already in the works, and that piqued my interest.

Book Review

(by- Linda )

et me start by saying Historical Fiction is probably my favorite genre, so I always hesitate when considering a science fiction book as my next read. However, I was surprised how much I liked The Martian by Andy Weir, so I was curious about his new book Project Hail Mary and thought I'd give it a try. I'm happy to say I loved it, and it was so much more than I anticipated. Also, a movie starring Ryan Gosling is already in the works, and that piqued my interest.

The book begins with Ryland Grace, a high school science teacher who wakes up on a spaceship and does not remember how he got there or why. Slowly, he regains his memory and figures out the importance of his mission, which is an exciting part of the book.

Although this story takes place in a spacecraft lightyears away from earth, it's really about friendships and learning to believe in yourself. Don't miss this one! I quickly became invested in the quirky and loveable characters and enjoyed the humor throughout this book. It was heartwarming and fun to read. The audio version was also excellent.
