The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Book Review

(by- Linda )

I loved this book. It felt like I was reading the intimate diary of a Hollywood star, glimpsing thoughts and reading about dreams that are meant to be secret.

Evelyn, an aging star, decides at age 79, that she wants to tell her story. So she engages a young journalist to write her biography. As the story moves forward, there are big secrets, big scandals, and big personalities revealed.

Evelyn had seven husbands, which fits with the notion everyone has of the Hollywood lifestyle. And not to disappoint, these relationships come with baggage. This book has it all. There's deceit, sacrifice, ruthlessness, glamour, and fame. It's perfect woman's fiction. Highly recommend.
