PBR Review: (by- Linda )
In this book, Dani Shapiro weaves together wonderfully deep characters and a story that shows the importance of family, friendships, and all the invisible people in your life. She allows the reader to understand the thought process involved in decision-making, the consequences of making a choice, and the effect your choice has on others. And she also clearly shows the emotional implications of remaining silent and keeping secrets. This is not a fast-paced story, but it's steady; you keep reading because you are invested in the characters. It draws you in because you witness slices of real life, the characters remind you of someone in your life, and the lessons learned are powerful. |
