For those who know me well, it’s not a secret I love a good audiobook. I’m always listening to one. It’s become a joke with my family because I wear headphones around the house. But, my favorite place to listen is the beach. Audible.com is my friend.
Laundry or cleaning up takes on a new life when you’re listening to audio. It makes the mundane bearable. A long car ride or a brisk walk is one of my favorite times to enjoy audio.

It allows you to become immersed in the story, and time flies. I feel lucky because I live near the beach, so popping down there after work or early morning is a breeze. It allows me to enjoy the outdoors and to take in all the activities around me, yet it’s peaceful and relaxing. My headphones buffer any outside noise.
Sometimes it became uncomfortable having earbuds in my ears for an extended period. I was taking breaks from listening just to give my ears a rest.
I complained about this often, so I received new headphones as a gift from my daughter for Christmas.
It has changed my listening experience! She gave me the Bose On-Ear Style, which I liked. But my younger daughter suggested I exchange them for the style that cups your ears instead. They are more comfortable, and the buffer outside sound better. I agree! The Bose Around-Ear Style headphones are fantastic.
