2016 Holiday Book Gift Guide – Ideas for Family & Friends

Sharing is caring!

One of my favorite things is to give books as gifts. It’s such a personal present, and the ideas are endless!

So when the holidays roll around, I start making my list. Below are some of the books I’ll be giving as gifts this holiday season. I hope you find it helpful.

Don’t forget to add a few books to the list for yourself. I’ve been known to pad the shopping cart with my own wishlist.

Here’s what I’m buying my family.

2016 Holiday Book Guide

Husband: Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen.  This one is easy; he’s a huge Bruce fan. I have to get it for him.

Daughter #1: Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult. She’s a Jodi fan (who isn’t?) And she is passionate about equal rights for all. We’ll talk about it for hours. I know she’ll love it.

Daughter #2: What She Knew by Gilly Macmillan She’s a mystery/thriller girl. This is a psychological thriller. She loves this kind of book. I know she’s going to have a hard time putting it down. It will take her mind off the finance world she’s immersed in every day. We’ll have fun discussing this one!

Mother: Fun Fashions: Contemporary Outfits to Knit for 18” Dolls by Andra Knight Bowman.  She’s 88 years old and still an incredible knitter! She’s knitting American Girl doll clothes for her grandchildren. I’ll add a gift card to the local knitting shop and a few skeins of yarn. I know she’ll be excited.

Sister: This is a hard one! She’s the fastest reader I know. I can’t keep up with what she’s read, so I’m buying her an Amazon gift card. I’ll put it in a basket with some of her favorite teas, coffees, and chocolates. She’ll love it!

Below are some more book suggestions that would make great gifts.  I mixed it up with some old and new books, but all are my favorites!
